| Robert J. "Bob" Drake, Jr., President of Drake Land Co., was
born in 1954 in nearby Richland, Washington. His early years were spent in the cattle
business which he operated with his family in the Prosser area. Bob moved to Prosser in
1975 to be closer to and ride herd on the 1000 head cattle operation. With the downturn in
the cattle market in the mid 80's, the cattle ranch was closed and the stage set for the
future development of Drake Ridge Estates beginning in 1995.
When he's not developing new view lots, Bob works for CH2MHill, a major federal
contractor at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation.
Spare time finds Bob indulging one of his many hobbies like antique gun collecting and
Early American History. As you can tell from this page, Bob's
#1 spare time interest is flying!
A commercial pilot, Bob learned to fly in 1976 at Prosser and has owned two airplanes.
His first was a 1959 Piper Pacer which he sold in 1995 when he purchased the 1946
Fairchild restoration project. |
